YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to join our busy multi-user operation at Kettering DC3. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by building a high performing, engaged team and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. You will play a key role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, while driving operational excellence and exceeding customer service expectations.

This role will see you working a Monday to Friday 10:00-18:00.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will manage the day-to-day performance of your operational shift. You will lead by example on the warehouse floor, creating a positive and engaged team culture while delivering high standards of service.

As a people-focused leader, you will coach, develop, and inspire your team to achieve high performance and support colleague engagement initiatives, CSR activities, and a positive, inclusive site culture. You will also attend and contribute to customer meetings, providing operational insight and performance updates as required.

You will ensure achieving key operational KPIs, including productivity, quality, cost, and service levels. This will involve effective planning and resourcing of shifts to meet fluctuating volumes and peak demands, while maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations at all times. You will actively promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all site processes, MHE usage, and warehouse systems.

You will promote continuous improvement and operational resilience by identifying risks, resolving operational challenges, and implementing improvements to enhance performance and efficiency. You will also ensure best practices in stock handling are followed to minimise loss, damage, and inefficiency, supported by accurate shift records and performance reporting.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in managing large teams, ideally within a 3PL or e-commerce warehousing environment. You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure. With a passion for people’s development, you will have a proven ability to motivate, support, and grow your team, ensuring they reach their full potential. You will be confident leading change and driving continuous improvement, using your excellent organisational and multitasking skills to manage shifting priorities and operational demands. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is essential, and you will be comfortable using MS Office such as Excel, to support your decision-making and reporting.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance along with access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands. There’s no doubt that you will be compensated for your hard work and commitment so if you’d like to work for one of the top Logistics providers in the world then please do get in touch to find your next role.
