As a Global Logistics Operations Senior Specialist at CEVA Air & Ocean Portugal, you will play a pivotal role within the 4PL Control Tower division, leading and optimising logistics operations on a global scale. This senior-level position demands a high degree of expertise in managing complex logistics workflows and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods worldwide.

This role is based in Porto/Perafita and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your decisions and expertise contribute directly to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What are you going to do?

• Manage and oversee end-to-end global logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Coordinate with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to optimise transportation and warehouse operations.
• Monitor operational performance metrics to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor junior logistics specialists fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Analyse supply chain data to support decision-making processes related to cost reduction, efficiency, and risk management.
• Support the deployment of digital tools and innovative solutions to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and customer service teams to align logistics operations with client expectations and contractual obligations.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Drive compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout logistics processes.

what are we looking for?

• Proven experience in global logistics operations, preferably within a 4PL or similar logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of international transportation regulations, freight forwarding, customs procedures, and supply chain management.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in leading operational teams.
• Proficiency in logistics software systems and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with global stakeholders.
• Commitment to high ethical standards, attention to detail, and customer-focused mindset.
