YOUR ROLE 

At Ceva Lead Logistics, we are providing customers with outstanding Visibility and Control across their entire Supply Chain. Our 4PL experts located across the globe in our Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost. 

Based in CEVA’s Head Office in France and reporting to the Ceva Lead Logistics Global Head of Business Solutions, the CLL 4PL Solution Design Expert will support business growth by developing and enhancing the CEVA 4PL business solution landscape. 

This role involves designing 4PL solutions in response to customer RFQs as well as internal solution improvement projects, with the aim of understanding business and customer needs, designing logistics processes, and assessing innovation /automation potential to deliver effective, efficient, competitive, and robust 4PL solutions.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

Main areas of focus and accountability of the role – detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

Solution Design for CEVA 4PL Solutions:

•    Continuously evaluate customer needs received through new business opportunities (RFQ, RFP) as well as in running business, and align with the CEVA 4PL Solutions service landscape 
•    Perform supply chain network studies, integrating multiple 3PLs and carriers across regional and global logistics networks
•    Evaluate current 4PL service landscape and align with other CLL functions (Business Process Excellence, Product Development, Operations) to constantly evolve and improve the solution offering

Support 4PL customer opportunities:

•    Support CLL BD team in evaluating pre-RFQ documentation to identify leads that best match with CEVA 4PL Solutions portfolio and growth strategy
•    Evaluate selected and approved 4PL opportunities in alignment with CLL Business Development (BD) teams and CLL Regional Management
•    Design and improve end-to-end 4PL solutions covering transportation, warehousing, inventory management, control towers, and supply chain visibility, depending on customer needs
•    Support RFQ response deliverables with regards to the 4PL operational solutions offering to ensure high standard of work and to secure profitable new/renewed contracts 
•    Support Business Development teams in managing requirement workshops, applying tools and techniques such as process mapping, value stream mapping and service blueprinting, to provide details on bid responses in presentation to customers

  
4PL Solutions and Methodology:

•    Develop and constantly enhance knowledge of CLL solution offering and other CEVA product offerings 
•    Contribute to the CLL solution knowledge base by documenting case studies and best practices (e.g. supply chain management processes, quantitative supply chain analysis/ optimization techniques, supply chain systems, etc). 
•    Maintain a close relationship with CLL regional Business Development teams and CEVA sector/regional BD teams to stay on top of latest market trends and developments.
•    Exchange regularly with CLL BD, BPE and PD functions on customer requirements and 4PL contract evolutions. 
•    Stay on top of market trends in logistics / transportation and the 4PL sector to identify and anticipate customer requirements.

•    Support internal and external projects as assigned by Head of Solution Design
 
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?
  • Master’s degree in business or engineering with focus on Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Transportation, Alternatively equivalent level of education and / or work experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or Logistics

  • Operational experience in at least one mode of transport (Air / Ocean / Ground / Parcel) or warehousing / supply chain management

  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to quickly grasp, evaluate, compile and present large amounts of information and numbers. 

  • Logistics and supply chain design expertise with experience in network design, logistics cost modelling and solution design

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Very good presentation skills, ability to adapt communication to different levels of audience and seniority, from operations to senior management
  • Ability to engage and align multiple stakeholders around the same objective.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory

  • Business travel up to 20% of working time
