This role provides high-level guidance to CEVA Inventory Controllers and operational teams, ensuring inventory best practice, governance and consistency are embedded across multiple sites and customer contracts. You’ll coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes, reporting, inventory strategy and process reviews, helping CEVA maintain strong inventory accuracy and service outcomes at a national level.
Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, this is an influential, non-people-management role suited to an experienced inventory professional who enjoys coaching, standardisation and driving best practice across a complex, multi-site environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to Inventory Controllers across VIC, WA, SA and TAS
- Coordinate and embed inventory best practices, governance and CEVA inventory policy compliance
- Support the planning and execution of cycle counts and annual stocktakes across multiple contracts
- Review inventory performance, reporting and variances, driving corrective actions where required
- Develop and implement inventory strategies aligned to customer and operational requirements
- Lead process reviews and support standardisation of inventory systems and practices
- Create and deploy inventory tools, templates and guidelines across sites
- Support new customer onboarding by defining inventory requirements and system setup
- Work closely with operations teams to improve slotting, warehouse utilisation and productivity
- Partner with BPE teams on continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives
- Assist with significant customer claims, investigations and root cause analysis
- Provide guidance to support audit readiness and ongoing inventory integrity.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You’re an experienced inventory professional with strong technical capability and the confidence to operate as a trusted SME across multiple sites. You’re analytical, structured and proactive, with a genuine passion for inventory accuracy and operational excellence. You’ll also have:
- Extensive experience managing warehouse inventory systems in a 3PL or similar environment
- Strong exposure to multi-site inventory operations, cycle counting and stocktakes
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence analysing inventory data and trends
- Strong WMS knowledge (e.g. Manhattan, BlueYonder) and the ability to drive system-led inventory control
- Experience developing and embedding standard processes across operations
- The ability to coach and influence operational teams without direct authority
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
