YOUR ROLE

 

As Transport Payments Lead within our Ground & Rail business, based at Truganina VIC, you’ll oversee the end-to-end payment processing function for subcontractor carriers across ANZ, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance at scale.

 

Reporting to the General Manager Procurement, you’ll provide operational and financial leadership across CEVA’s offshore Global Business Services (GBS) processing teams, while acting as the key escalation point for carrier payment issues across operations, procurement and finance. This role sits at the intersection of transport operations, systems, governance and financial control.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Specifically, you will:

 

Oversee offshore carrier payment processing to ensure compliance with KPIs and payment terms

Act as the primary escalation point for carrier, operations and GBS payment issues

Lead and support offshore teams to ensure accurate review, approval and payment of carriers

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy and service outcomes

Partner with procurement to support carrier management, pricing, KPIs and contractual administration

Develop and manage performance reporting to track service levels, cost outcomes and improvements

Maintain strong relationships with operational teams to understand issues and deliver value-adding solutions

Collaborate closely with Finance to manage system events, deductions, claims and audit requirements

Ensure adherence to CEVA Global Finance policies, governance frameworks and payment thresholds

Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks through audits and system oversight.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

You’re a confident and commercially astute professional with transport sector experience (ideal but not essential) and the ability to lead complex payment operations across systems, teams and geographies.

 

Sound experience in accounts payable, carrier payments or transport-related finance roles

Proven experience working with offshore or shared services teams

Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems

Strong problem-solving, investigation and risk management skills

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across operational and finance teams

Background in accounting, finance or a related discipline (preferred).

Understanding of ground transport operations, systems and payment models (preferred)
