Human Resources Partner Senior Supervisor - Korea
CEVA Logistics Korea is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Partner Senior Supervisor to join our HR Partnership team at the Seoul Head Office. This role is pivotal within the HR Generalist division, focusing on providing strategic and operational HR support to our logistics business unit activities. As a key figure in our human resources function, you will play an integral role in fostering a positive workplace environment, supporting business objectives, and driving impactful HR initiatives across the organisation. This position is responsible for performing the local HRBP Manager role.
About the Role
As a Senior Supervisor within the Human Resources Partner team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees alike. You will lead and influence various HR programmes and processes with a focus on aligning people strategies with CEVA Logistics Korea’s business goals. Your expertise will contribute to talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal HR business partner to multiple departments, providing proactive and consultative support on employee lifecycle matters including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
- Lead complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with Korean labour laws and company policies while promoting fair and equitable treatment.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational performance and employee engagement within the logistics sector.
- Participate in union negotiations and manage day-to-day communications with labor unions
- Manage and improve HR processes and systems in collaboration with central HR functions, enhancing efficiency and data integrity.
- Partner with the HR Head to manage and address Employee Relations ssues, including union relations, greivance handling, disciplinary action, and internal conflict management
- Analyse workforce metrics and prepare insightful reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labour regulations and CEVA Logistics policies, mitigating risks and promoting a values-driven workplace.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of HR operations teams(e.g. Talent Acquisition, Talent Development)
- Support organizational changes(e.g. M&A) and respond to key HR-related issues
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in human resources, ideally within the logistics or supply chain sector, coupled with deep knowledge of Korean labour laws and HR best practices. You should be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, capable of influencing at all levels of the organisation. Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or HR certifications are advantageous.
- Significant prior experience in an HR business partnering role, preferably with managerial or supervisory responsibility.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation in Korea and experience navigating complex employee relations situations.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in Korean and English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with multicultural teams.
