YOUR ROLE

 

Based from our Finished Vehicle Logistics site in Minto NSW, we’re looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Business Development team.

 

Reporting to the Director Business Development, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, with accountability for retention, growth, profitability and relationship management.

 

This role will suit a commercially minded account manager who understands logistics operations, enjoys building trusted customer relationships and can work closely with internal teams to deliver practical, sustainable and customer-focused solutions.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Develop strategic and tactical account plans covering retention, growth opportunities, risks and customer priorities
  • Act as the key point of contact for customers, building strong relationships across operational, escalation and executive levels
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue and profitability through new services, improved solutions and contract expansion
  • Monitor contract performance, key dates, deliverables, claims, liabilities and compliance requirements
  • Lead proactive account retention plans, including customer engagement, proposal development and internal stakeholder alignment
  • Coordinate RFQ, project-based and non-RFQ opportunities, ensuring proposals are commercially sound and operationally achievable
  • Review account profitability, rate increases, scope changes, billing issues and accounts receivable matters
  • Work with operations and support functions to resolve issues, improve service delivery and drive continuous improvement
  • Support broader business development initiatives and cross-selling opportunities across CEVA’s services.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced account manager, commercial manager or customer solutions professional from a transport-heavy logistics environment, with the ability to manage strategic customer relationships and deliver commercially sound outcomes. You’ll also have:

 

  • Experience in transport, vehicle logistics, fleet, linehaul, distribution, 3PL or related logistics operations
  • Strong key account management, business development, commercial management or customer solutions experience
  • A sound understanding of transport operations, service performance, customer requirements and operational cost drivers
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with customers and influence stakeholders across operational, escalation and executive levels
  • Commercial confidence, including the ability to review profitability, pricing, scope changes and contract performance
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across operations, commercial, legal, finance, QHSE and business development teams
  • Mandarin speaking and writing fluency would be highly regarded.

 

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
