YOUR ROLE

 

The SG Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for strengthening inventory governance, improving inventory accuracy, and providing expert inventory control support across Singapore CL operations. The role drives standardisation, performance monitoring, compliance audits, and capability development to minimise inventory risks and ensure sustainable operational excellence.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

·       Drive Inventory Standardisation & Governance - Lead the implementation and sustainment of inventory standardisation, governance frameworks, and best practices across all Singapore Contract Logistics sites to minimise inventory risks and improve operational consistency.

·       Inventory Performance Management - Develop and maintain inventory performance monitoring, reporting, and KPI dashboards to provide accurate visibility of inventory health, compliance, and operational risks.

·       Audit, Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Conduct regular inventory counting compliance audits, governance reviews, and process assessments, proactively identifying deviations and driving corrective actions to sustain best-in-class inventory management practices.

·       Risk Identification & Inventory Recovery - Identify inventory control gaps, operational risks, and process weaknesses, leading corrective and preventive actions to avoid inventory discrepancies and future recovery situations.

·       Training & Capability Development - Deliver inventory control training, coaching, and awareness programmes to Operations and Inventory teams to strengthen inventory knowledge, compliance, and execution standards.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Essential

·       Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related discipline.

·       Minimum 5 years' experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain or contract logistics environment.

·       Proven experience in inventory control, cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and inventory recovery activities.

·       Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, inventory accuracy management, cycle count programmes, inventory auditing, discrepancy investigation, and warehouse operations.

·       Proficient in WMS systems, Microsoft Excel, data analysis, KPI reporting, and inventory performance monitoring.

·       Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.

·       Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, coaching, and training skills.

·       Ability to work effectively with Operations, Customers, Finance, and Management teams.

·       Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to drive corrective actions.

 

Desirable

·       Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.

·       Experience managing inventory governance across multiple sites and customers.

·       Experience leading inventory improvement or standardisation projects.

·       Experience in 3PL / Contract Logistics environment.

·       Knowledge of inventory governance frameworks, process standardisation, Lean methodologies, Power BI, automation tools, and project management.

·       Experience in implementing inventory control best practices across multiple operations.

·       Experience facilitating workshops, leading cross-functional initiatives, presenting to senior management, and driving organisational change and inventory awareness programmes.
